Naturalistic tours and natural parks
Arcipelago Toscano National Park
The Arcipelago Toscano National Park, the biggest sea park in Europe, protects 56.766 hectares of sea and 17.887 hectares of land. It includes all of the seven main Islands in the Tuscan Archipelago as well as a few minor islets and rocks. Just as beads in a necklace, each Island differs from another; in preserving the vestiges of its own history, each one is unique and original, although the beauty of their environment is equally shared.
Maremma Natural Park
The Maremma Natural Park, located at just 10 km from the campsite, features some of the most stunning and pristine seaside areas in this coastline. It can be visited on a mountain‐bike, on horseback, by rowing a canoe or simply by walking. Visitors can also take part in the ancient ‘Doma’ ritual, i.e. the taming of the Maremma horse.
The hills tops offer a breathtaking view over the whole Tirreno coast, the island of Giglio, the Elba island, and Corsica. All routes may be covered either individually or in groups, and a guide is also available to escort hikers.
